Conventions

A convention is a gathering of gamers, often yearly, often at the same venue. Conventions can be very different, from a large trade show where publishers and shops sell games to a small non-profit organisation where authors bring their prototypes to help each other test them.

Adding a convention to this database will make it possible to add events (an actual meeting with a date) to it, those events show up on the map, in the timeline and in the list of coming conventions. All Gamer and Developer members can add and change conventions and events in this Wiki.

All Gamer and Developer members can click on the "Attend this convention" link on an event page, and also (even when not attending themselves) see which other users on the site have marked they will attend that convention.
